, : The pressure profile of the child in benin. Afrique Medicale 25(247): 667-670

A prospective study was carried out in 17 schools in the city of Cotonou. In each school 15-25 students were selected at random and their arterial pressure, systolic arterial pressure and diastolic arterial pressure were measured. Weight, height and body surface were also measured. An increase in blood pressure values as a function of weight was found and children at risk for arterial hypertension were identified.
