, : The prevalence of dourine in southern Africa. Journal of the South African Veterinary Association 47(2): 83-85

The geographical distribution of positive dourine cases [causative agent, Trypanosoma equiperdum] found in horses on serological testing at Onderstepoort, Republic of South Africa, during the period 1954-1975 is recorded, showing major foci of infection occurring in N Cape Province, N Orange Free State, W and NW Transvaal. Positive cases are also recorded from South West Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Rhodesia.
