The primary liver carcinoma relevant pathology in geriatrics study of 29 cases

Acta Gerontologica 35(1-2): 85-91
The primary liver carcinoma relevant pathology in geriatrics study of 29 cases
The authors analyze 29 cases of primary hepatocellular carcinoma observed in the period between January 1978 and January 1984 among the patients of the Geriatric Hospital G.B. Giustinian in Venice. After examining the mean epidemiologic, etiopathogenetic and clinical aspects of the disease, the authors statistically evaluated their observations by Fischer probability method in order to verify eventual relationships between considered variables and liver malignancy. Statistical significance was demonstrated only for male sex, alcohol abuse and/or HBVirus infection.
