The primary structure of 11s globulin subunit b in the seeds of cotton cultivar 108 f 6. reconstruction of the polypeptide chain

The reconstruction of the polypeptide chain of subunit B was studied on the basis of chemotryptic, full tryptic and tryptic decomposition on lysine and arginine residues, as well as on chemical decomposition of the chain based on methionine and tryptophan residues. A partial amino acid succession of the polypeptide chain was established. Reasons for the stability of the subunit B to trypsin were revealed. The treatment of proteins with phytinic acid can lead to substantial conformational changes in proteins, which contributes to their digestion by proteases.
