The primary structure of msp i fragments of phage t 7 dna in the region of gene 1

, : The primary structure of msp i fragments of phage t 7 dna in the region of gene 1. Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya 6(11): 1737-1739

Sequencing of phage T7 DNA Msp I restriction fragments mapped in the region of gene 1 allowed the structure of the left half of gene 1 to be determined. The structure previously attributed to fragment Bsp-36 evidently belongs to another fragment. The revised structure of the left half of gene 1 agrees with previous data in which a few regions of the gene were sequenced and with previously constructed restriction maps. The sequence is translatable into protein without termination, but only in a single frame.
