The primary structure of phospho lipase a 2 ec 3.1.1.4 from porcine pancreas a reinvestigation

, : The primary structure of phospho lipase a 2 ec 3.1.1.4 from porcine pancreas a reinvestigation. Biochimica et Biophysica Acta 492(2): 254-259

The primary structure of porcine pancreatic phospholipase A2 (EC 3.1.1.4) was reinvestigated. A number of modifications were introduced including the addition of a 7th disulfide bridge. The structure which is presented here shows a high degree of homology with the amino acid sequence of snake venom and horse pancreas phospholipase A2.

Infant and young child feeding practices were investigated in a sample survey (1132 mothers) in a rural area in northern Vietnam. Pre-lacteal feeding was almost universal. Mean duration of breast feeding was 17 months, but foods other than breast...

Background: The use of calcium- or aluminum-based phosphate binders against hyperphosphatemia is limited by the adverse effects of hypercalcemia or aluminum toxicity in long-term hemodialysis. Because nicotinamide is an inhibitor of sodium-depende...

A numerical method for objective interpolation of boundary-layer data in the height-time domain is presented. The question of whether lipases can be activated by adsorption onto an interface in organic solvents was addressed using Rhizomucor miehei lipase as a model. In aqueous solution, this enzyme was shown to undergo a marked interfacial activation. Ho...
