The relation between the patterns of cytomixis and variation of chromosome numbers in pollen mother cells of jimsonweed datura stramonium

The relation between the patterns of cytomixis and variation of chromosome numbers in pollen mother cells of jimsonweed datura stramonium

Acta Botanica Sinica 24(2): 103-108

The phenomenon of cytomixis is a general occurrence in the pollen mother cells (PMC) of certain angiosperms. This phenomenon occurs in jimsonweed. The discrepancies between the patterns of intercellular chromatin migration and the variation of chromosome numbers in the PMC of jimsonweed, as well as rye, are not significant. The patterns of intercellular chromatin migration and the variation chromosome numbers are related to each other.
