Uninfected control and infected animals were compared on normal feeding, in the course of avitaminosis C, and on a diet enriched with vitamin C. On the same diet the vitamin C concentration in livers and adrenal glands of guinea-pigs was much higher in autumn than in winter. The riboflavin concentration in the liver was higher in autumn. No correlation between riboflavin and vitamin C levels in organs of guinea-pigs was observed. In most cases, no significant differences in the levels of vitamins between males and females were recorded. Usually, infection with A. suum larvae resulted either in an increase of vitamin C level during the deficiency period (winter) or in its decrease in animals fully saturated with vitamin C during the autumn. There was an increase in riboflavin levels in livers of most guinea-pigs infected with A. suum larvae.
