Decreased contents of riboflavin were demonstrated in livers of infected guinea-pigs. Most changes were highly significant statistically. In lungs of infected animals the riboflavin content was decreased, reaching minimal values on the 5th-8th day of infection. In one case only, after infection with 20,000 infective eggs, the riboflavin concentration was nearly normal on the 8th day. Changes in the blood concentration of experimental animals were mostly statistically insignificant as compared with the control group. On the 4th day there was a statistically significant increase in the riboflavin level in blood of guinea-pigs infected with 10,000 eggs. In most cases, concentrations of vitamin C in the liver and blood were higher in the infected than in the control animals, whereas the reverse was true for adrenal glands; the changes were not statistically significant. No correlation between changes in vitamin C and riboflavin concentrations was observed.
