To the knowledge of the siphonaptera fauna in tirol austria

In autumn 1972, 69 specimens of 3 small mammal species [Apodemus flavicollis, Clethrionomys glareolus, Sorex araneus] were collected in 3 localities between Innsbruck and Kufstein, areas rarely examined for flea distribution. Data on 78 flea specimens belong to 11 spp. and subspecies of 3 families [Hystrichopsyllidae: Hystrichopsylla talpae talpae (Curtis), Atyphloceras nuperum palinum (Jordan), Doratopsylla dasycnema dasycnema (Rothchild), Palaeopsylla kohauti Dampf, P. soricis rosickyi Smit, Ctenophthalmus agyrtes impavidus Jordan, Rhadinopsylla integella Jordan et Rothschild; Leptopsyllidae: Peromyscopsylla fallax (Rothschild); Ceratophyllidae: Malareus penicilliger kratochvili Rosicky, Megabothris turbidus (Rothschild) Monopsyllus sciurorum sciurorum (Schrank)] are reported.
