Traffic medical aspects of tolerance levels of the human body

Traffic medical aspects of tolerance levels of the human body

Unfallheilkunde 83(6): 284-305

Tolerance levels in a broad sense include biomechanic and psychophysical factors. Biomechanics of human beings were studied with reference to the application of the laws in physical mechanics to biological structures. Knowledge of some of the tolerance limits of man is lacking. Accidents, crash tests with volunteers, cadavers, animals, dummies or mathematical models were analyzed. Some results are given and their usefulness is shown.
