Treatment of tinea with miconazole and miconazole hydrocortisone

, : Treatment of tinea with miconazole and miconazole hydrocortisone. Current Therapeutic Research 40(3): 471-474

In a double-blind study miconazole-hydrocortisone cream was compared with miconazole cream in 24 patients with symmetrical tinea cruris and tinea pedis. Treatment continued until total recovery was achieved at one or both sites or ceased after one month, if recovery was not achieved. At this time 21 lesions were cured with miconazole-hydrocortisone and 11 with miconazole. The difference was statistically significant.
