, : Trematode fauna of mollusks in the kremenchug reservoir. Gidrobiologicheskii Zhurnal 13(5): 106-114

Differences in hydrological, hydrochemical and hydrobiological regimes in certain parts of the Kremenchug [Ukrainian SSR, USSR] reservoir determine the non-uniform distribution of larvae and parthenites of trematodes. The species composition of the parasites is most variable and numbers are highest in the upper part of the water column to depths of 1 m. This is where the pathogenic trematode infestation of commercially useful animals is the greatest. The deeper parts of the reservoir are inhabited by a poor complex of benthic organisms and a similarly poor abundance of trematode larvae and parthenites.
