Trematode parasites of bats in iraq i

Three digenetic trematodes, Plagiorchis (Plagiorchis) koreamus Ogata, 1938 (Plagiorchiidae), Pycnoporus heteroporus (Dujardin, 1845) and Lecithodendrium granulosum Looss, 1907 (Lecithodendriidae), were identified from the tomb bat, Taphozous nudiventris magnus (Wettstein, 1913) (Mammalia : Chiroptera) collected in Iraq. All are recorded from Iraq for the first time. Pycnoporus magnoporus Kung, 1964, form China is synonymous with P. heteroporus. A list of the known trematode parasites of Iraqi bats is presented.
