Trends of prosthetic treatment in gon arthrosis

, : Trends of prosthetic treatment in gon arthrosis. Chirurgia degli Organi di Movimento 65(1): 51-60

Indications for the hinged prosthesis are evaluated. This prosthesis must be used only in knees with extreme deformity or instability. Articular biomechanic studies provide the validity for condylar replacement. Features and indications for the Veronese prosthesis, with replaceable tibial surfaces, and for the mono-compartment prosthesis (Marmor) are evaluated. Surgical technique of knee replacement with Marmor prosthesis is discussed.
