Tri cyclic thiazolo 3 2 a thiapyrano 4 3 d pyrimidines and related analogs as potential anti inflammatory agents

, : Tri cyclic thiazolo 3 2 a thiapyrano 4 3 d pyrimidines and related analogs as potential anti inflammatory agents. Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry 18(2): 327-332

A series of novel tricyclic thiazolo[3,2-a]thiapyrano[4,3-d]pyrimidines and related oxa, aza and carbo analogs of the general formula were prepared by a convenient addition-cyclization reaction involving 2-amino-2-thiazoline and bisarylidene ketones. Some of these compounds demonstrated antiinflammatory activity in animals.
