Trials to standardize in vivo immunomodulant activity 3. corynebacterium and brucella originating immunomodulants and changes in the development of antibacterial immunity and host defense degrees

Screening-type investigations were made in an aim to define the action mechanismof the immunmodulating activity of Corynebacterium and Brucella originating immunomodulants. Simultaneously 2 test systems were applied, namely mice inoculated with Ehrlich ascites tumor (in aim to define the immunmodulant activity exerted on the changes of host's defense) and the definition of the changes in the antibacterial protection developing upon the immunmodulants' influence after immunization with Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae vaccine (bacterin) in mice. The 2 immunomodulants are believed to exert their immunmodulating activity by the same action mechanism. This statement is supported by mathematical analysis using the polynomial equation followed by variance analysis. In both cases the regressions were significant and the influence of squares' effects were excluded while the linearity-shares corresponded to 83-88%. At the same time the values of r (also significant at P = 0.1) corresponded to 0.96 and 0.93, respectively.
