Use of gamma chamber for the diagnosis of diseases of the aorta and major arteries

The results of using the .gamma.-chamber and short-lived isotopes for the observation of patients with diseases of the aorta and the major arteries showed a high clinical value of the method for preliminary diagnosis of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, the Leriche syndrome, renal hypertension, the Takayas syndrome, coarctation of the aorta and aneurysms of the peripheral arteries. Radioisotope angiography supplements contrast angiography. The performance (introducing the isotope i.v.) safety makes it possible to use radioisotope angiography under outpatient conditions.
