Varietal resistance of four in tomato lycopersicon esculentum cultivars to the buckeye rot phytophthora parasitica

The investigation was carried out at the Experimental Station "Juan Tomas Roig" and the Phytopathology Laboratory of the Instituto Superior Agricola de Ciego de Avila [Cuba]. Four tomato varieties were studied. Environmental conditions for the incidence and development of the pathogen were propitious during the cycle of cultivation. The most resistant variety is Rossol, followed by Roma, nova 2 and Campbell 28. The highest yields were obtained in the Roma variety.
