A case of first and second branchial arch syndrome

A case of first and second branchial arch syndrome

Practica Otologica Kyoto 83(3): 377-381

A 6-year-old girl who had bilateral congenital pre-auricular fistulas, bilateral congenital cervical fistulas, right auricular malformation and bilateral mixed hearing loss. Surgical removal of the cervical fistulas was carried out. A review of the literature suggested that the cause of these malformations is a developmental anomaly of the first and second branchial arches.
