A case of histiocytosis x which invaded the orbit from the parasellar region and manifested various ocular complications



Folia Ophthalmologica Japonica 40(3): 453-458



This report describes as 40 year-old woman with histiocytosis X. The tumor originated in the parasellar region and invaded the orbit. Iritis and cystoid macular edema, uncommon complications of theis disease, occurred during tumor expansion. Subsequently the tumor disappeared from the orbit spontaneously, but then again extended, and a temporal lobectomy was performed.
