A case of non hodgkin's lymphoma representing a large mass in the head of the pancreas mainly on clinical course followed up by ercp

Gastroenterological Endoscopy 32(8): 2007, 2009-2018

A 65-year-old woman complaining of epigastric pain was admitted to our hospital. Barium meal and endoscopic examination showed nodular lesions with bridging folds, huge gastric rugae and multiple whitish flat elevated lesions in the stomach and a whitish flat elevated lesion in the descending part of the duodenum (Figure 2,3). Biopsy specimen demonstrated diffuse, mixed type, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (Figure 4). The abdominal US and CT showed a lobulated solid mass of the head of the pancreas (Figure 5,6). ERCP showed a long segmental smooth stricture of the main pancreatic duct in the head of the pancreas with no secondary branches appearing (Figure 7). Abdominal angiography revealed a neovascularity and the tumor stain in the head of the pancreas (Figure 8). US guided percutaneous biopsy specimen demsonstrated non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (Figure 10). A patient was treated with chemotherapy (3 courses of CHOP) and the tumor of the head of the pancreas and the other lesions disappeared completely. ERCP showed almost normal findings (Figure 11, 12).
