Using architectural method, we describe the whole development of Platanus hybrida Brot. The architectural analysis put out monopodial organisation even if its trunk and branches result of a linear succession of annual moduls. The crown of the plane-tree is the result of a reiterative porcess preceeding by an architectural metamorphosis. Sympodial growth appears to be an important factor in its fantastic response to cultural practises. The following of this study will be approach regarding the management of the plane-tree in urban conditions (pruning,..).
