Abstract
Triclopyr, glyphosate and an 8:1 glyphosate:picloram mixture were tested for the control of Hakea sericea seedlings, while triclopyr was tested on Hakea gibbosa seedlings. Triclopyr at 960 g a.i. ha-1 gave effective control of Hakea sericea seedlings and was cheaper ha-1 than the other products tested. It is recommended that standing burns followed by chemical control of the resulting Hakea seedlings crop be considered as an alternative control system to the cut and burn technique.
