Corticioid basidiomycetes in west germany

Corticioid basidiomycetes in west germany

Zeitschrift fuer Mykologie 56(1): 95-130

A check-list of corticiaceous fungi in the FRG is presented for the first time comprising records of the last thirty years. The resulting 355 species (48 of them never reported before in the FRG), belong to Corticiaceae, Steccherinaceae, Stereaceae, Lachnocladiaceae, Coniophoraceae, Ceratobasidiaceae, and some Podoscyphaceae (Thelephoraceae excluded). A comparison with the lists of several European countries is made. The records are classified according to 15 areas (most Bundeslander). This leads to some conclusions about distribution and frequency: Nearly 30% of the species are evenly distributed (20% common, 10% less frequent), 20% have an uneven distribution. More than 50% are rare (less than 10 records each).
