Cost estimation for filled ice cream

Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 61(7): 742-746

The cost of manufacture of filled ice-cream was compared with that of control ice-cream. The milk fat and 3 types of vegetable oils, viz. groundnut, soybean and corn, were used for the manufacture of control and filled ice-creams. The cost per 100 ml was Rs 1.12, Rs 1.07 and Rs 1.12, respectively, against Rs 1.29 for control ice-cream. These were cheaper by 13-17%.
