Dissipation of monocrotophos residues in on pigeon pea

Dissipation of monocrotophos residues in on pigeon pea

Journal of Entomological Research (New Delhi) 15(3): 184-186

Residues of monocrotophos, when applied at the rate of 0.5 and 1.0 kg a.i./ha, were estimated in pigeon pea green pods, grains and straw at harvest. It gave initial deposits of 10.79 and 16.68 ppm in two doses, respectively, which dissipated to 1.14 and 1.43 ppm in 15 days. The level of these residues further decreased to 0.02 and 0.05 ppm in grains, and 0.69 and 1.27 ppm in straw, respectively. Half-life was 4.82 and 4.42 days, and safety interval was 27.71 and 28.21 days, respectively.
