Distribution of chlorin e6 in tumor bearing mice

Distribution of chlorin e6 in tumor bearing mice

Xi'an Yike Daxue Xuebao 12(4): 300-302

Distribution of Chlorin e6 in different tissue of S1810 ascite sarcoma-besting mice determined by fluorospectrophotometry was reported in this paper. The peak values of drug concentration in different tissues appeared at 6 h after i.v. administration of 20 mg/kg of Chlorin e6. The maximum values of tumor to muscle and tumor to skin ratios were 34 and 19 respectively, it was achieved at 24 h after the drug injection and the drug concentrations in different tissues at this time were in order of liver > tumor > skin > muscle. The result of the experiment shows that Chlorin e6 is a new promising tumor-photolocalizing and photochemotherapeutic agent.
