Effect of planting time on growth yield components yield and nutrient contents of winged bean psophocarpus tetragonolobus l

Winged bean seeds (local cv 'Sylhet') were grown under field conditions to study the effect of planting time on the growth, flowering, yield components, yield and nutrient contents. Flowering duration was affected but pod development and maturity, and 100-seed weight were not affected markedly by the date of sowing. In delayed sowing crude protein content decreased, whereas oil and carbohydrate contents increased.
