Regularities of formation of meat yield of young bulls of milk, meat, combined and mixed breeds were examined under the conditions of the Ukrainian steppe zone: It is shown that milk yield is formed mainly via outgrowth of muscle tissue. The rate is closely related to early maturity and feeding level. Optimal slaughter age of bulls is 18 months, though it may be also effective to grow them to 24-and 30-months of age.
