Germination and seedling growth of four groundnut cultivars was suppressed by different salts concentrations. Sodium carbonate was found to be most toxic for germination and further growth, while sodium sulphate and magnesium sulphate were least effective. Varietal differences for germination and seedling growth in response to salt was observed.
