Lymphatic assessment of cervical cancers comparison of lymph node puncture under ct lymphography and of lymphadenectomy with celioscopic surgery

Lymphatic assessment of cervical cancers comparison of lymph node puncture under ct lymphography and of lymphadenectomy with celioscopic surgery

Gynecologie 42(5): 336-339

In 17 patients with invasive cancer of the uterine cervix (2 at stage Ia, 14 at stage 1b, 1 at stage II), a assessment of the condition of the lymph nodes was carried out before treatment using puncture with CT lymphography (8) or lymphadenectomy with celioscopic surgery (9). The latter technique seems to be better since it can provide enough material for the histological study (10.8 nodes) without any postoperative complication. Puncture under CT lymphography was impossible in one cases and failed to detect lymph node invasion in one case.
