Blood serum proteins of 25 one-day nestlings, 40 9-week female and 300 male-chicks as well as 120 one-year hens and 10 cocks were separated by means of horizontal electrophoresis on the polyacrylamide gel. The blood serum protein was separated into 25-30 bands divided into 15 regions. No differences in electrophoresis of proteins for one-day nestlings, 9-week youngsters, nonlaying hens and cocks were found, whereas in laying hens additional bands appeared in the region of fast migrating prealbumins and posttransferrins, while no intensively stained proteins migrating somewhat faster and insignificantly slower than transferrins were observed.
