Productivity of late sown wheat triticum aestivum as influenced by seed condition and varieties

An experiment conducted during winters of 1983-84 and 1984-85 with late-sown wheat (Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori and Paol.) at Lakhaoti showed that 'HD 2329' wheat performed better than 'HD 1553' and 'HD 2285' wheat. 'HD 2329' gave 9.7 and 8.3% higher yield than 'IID 2285' during 1983-84 and 1984-85 respectively. Sowing of sprouted seed gave significantly higher yield (13.1% and 12.5%) than dry seed sowing during the 2 years.
