Specific differences in immature stages oviposition sites and hatching patterns in two rice pests leptocorisa oratorius fabricius and leptocorisa acuta thunberg heteroptera alydidae

Insect Science and its Application 13(1): 1-6

The immature stages, preferred oviposition sites, hatching patterns and egg morphology of two important rice pest species, Leptocorisa oratorius (Fabricius) and L. acuta (Thunberg) (Heteroptera: Alydidae) were described. Species specific differences were found in all these features. These differences may be useful for identification in fields where these pests occur together.
