Research Reports of the Rural Development Administration 32(3 HORTIC): 42-45

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of trunk injection of oxytetracycline HCl (OTC) solution with high concentration on the control of witches'-broom disease in jujube tree The results obtained were as follows. With two times of trunk injection of OTC solution at 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000 ppm on May and July to slightly tree diseased, it prevented the symptom appearance during that growing season. Especially, at 5,000 ppm, the masking effect lasted till the next year. But with the injection to severely diseased tree, its effect was low. A chemical injury was observed after the injection at high concentration, which disappeared after about one or two month. In drought year, the chemical injury was appeared by the injection even at a low concentration.
