Taxonomic notes on cistanthe calandrinia and talinum portulacaceae

Phytologia 70(3): 209-225

New combinations for South American species of Cistanthe are provided along with taxonomic notes. Also, a new section of Calandrinia and a new combination in Talinum [T. galapagosum (.ident. Calandrinia galapagosa)] are established. The nomenclatural changes reflect new morphological and cladistic data on Portulacaceae. [The new combinations of Cistanthe are the following: C. arenaria, C. cephalophora, C. coquimbensis, C. cymosa, C. fenzlii, C. longiscapa, C. macrocalyx, C. paniculata, C. piota, C. piota var. frigida and C. weberbaueri, all based on Calandrinia; C. ligulata [.ident. Talinum lingulatum]; C. amarantoides [.ident. Silvara amarantoides]].
