The effect of cmp n serve and atc on the process of nitrification and on soil microorganisms

In a laboratory experiment conducted for 120 days the author compared the effect of CMP [1-carbamylo-3(5)methyl-pyrazole], N-Serve, and ATC [4-amino-1,2,3,-triazole] on nitrification and on the number of microorganisms in soil. As a result he ascertained that CMP and ATC negatively affect the development of nitrifiers of the Ist and IInd phase of nitrification, while N-Serve-especially that of the Ist phase. The tested preparations do not negatively affect the numbers of heterotrophic microorganisms and do not inhibit the hydrolysis of urea. Their effect on the process of nitrification was dependent on the dose and kind of inhibitor.
