Larvae of the spider crab, Tiarinia spinigera Stimpson, were reared in the laboratory and their developments were traced. The larvae passed through 2 zoeal and one megalopa stages before they molted to the first crab stage. Major characteristics of each larval stage and of the first crab are described. Data on egg diameter and duration of zoeal development are also given.
