Variation in isozyme patterns of esterase and polyphenol oxidase among isolates of armillaria ostoyae from british columbia canada

Variation in isozyme patterns of esterase and polyphenol oxidase among isolates of armillaria ostoyae from british columbia canada

Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology 11(3): 229-234

ISSN/ISBN: 0706-0661

Factor analysis of polyphenol oxidase and esterase isozyme patterns revealed geographical trends over the range of Armillaria ostoyae (= A. obscura) in British Columbia. There were no differences in isozyme pattern between coastal and interior isolates that could be related to the difference in epidemiology of A. ostoyae in coastal and interior forests. Factor scores for most isolates from south-central Washington, northern Ontario, and southern England were within the range of values for British Columbia isolates.
