Lupins (Lupinus angustifolius cv. Uniharvest) sown at two plant populations, were grazed at four successive growth stages with weaned lambs. Peak herbage nitrogen concentration at 3.85% was found at pre-flowering in plants sown at 60 plants/m2. In vitro digestibiity of 80% and metabolisable energy concentration of 11.74 MJ/kg, were highest at the pre-flowering grazing of plants sown at 100 plants/m2.
