Biochemical synthesis of esters of higher fatty alcohols and fatty acids: I. Selection of conditions for biosynthesis

Biochemical synthesis of esters of higher fatty alcohols and fatty acids: I. Selection of conditions for biosynthesis

Biotekhnologiya 0(1): 18-20

A biochemical method for production of compound ethers of fatty acids and high molecular alcohols was developed. The effect of ratio of fatty acids and fatty alcohols in the millet flour and also of the value of hexane used for solubilization of alcohols on ether biosynthesis was investigated. The solvent for isolation of lipids from the reaction mixture was selected.
