Several accessions of Ae. kotschyl and Ae. variabilis were studied for their capability of inducing homologous pairing in hybrids with wheat and the genome substitution forms Aurodes and Aurosis. The Aegilops accessions studied have the similar effect on the wheat Ph system. A high level of homologous pairing was observed in hybrids with the total effect of major and minor inductors of homologous pairing.
