Abstract
Alkaline phosphatase activity of cucumber roots grown hydroponically and content of N, P and Mg in petiole determined by colorimetric rapid test in response to high salinity and oxygen deficiency were measured. High salinity induced higher alkaline phosphatase activity which was similar to calcium deficiency and oxygen deficiency rapidly lowered the contents of N, P and Mg in petiole.
