, : Effect of food on larval developmental periods of Lipaphis erysimi Kalt and Aphis citricola Van der Goot. Bangladesh Journal of Zoology 20(2): 297-300

The influence of food on the period of larval development of two aphids Lipaphis erysimi Kalt and Aphis citricola Van Der Goot was studied using young and old leaves of different host plants. The host plants were Brassica chinensis (china cabbage), Brassica nigra (mustard plant), Raphanus sativus (radish plant), Solanum melongena (brinjal plant), and Eupatorium odoratum (Assam lata). These plants were kept alive in the laboratory in Hoagland's prepared nutrient solution.
