Agrokhimiya 0(10): 21-28



The dose of N80P90K90 was found to be optimal for ensuring the production of 66-67 metric centners/hectare of "white sugar" on leached weakly acidic chernozems with close to average content of alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, close to high content of active phosphorus, and increased-high content of exchange potassium. Further increase of the doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers under sugar beets was not effective because it resulted in decreased tuber sugar concentration, increased sugar losses for molasses and subsequent decrease in "white" sugar harvesting from an area unit.
