Effect of vitamin A on progress of fin regeneration in mudskipper Boleophthalmus dussumieri

Effect of vitamin A on progress of fin regeneration in mudskipper Boleophthalmus dussumieri

Journal of Animal Morphology & Physiology 44(1): 43-46, June

Caudal fin regeneration in the mudskipper following exposure to Vitamin A in various concentrations and for different durations was studied. The extent of regenerative development and rate of growth were in accordance with the time and duration of treatment. Most adverse effect was seen during the early phase of regeneration when dedifferentiation and proliferative activities of the cell are maximum.
