Evaluation of insect growth regulators against Helicoverpa armigera Hb. on cotton



Indian Journal of Plant Protection 23(1): 38-42



Flufenoxuron (@ 75 and 100 g/ha) an insect growth regulator (IGR) was found more effective in controlling Helicoverpa armigera compared to teflubenzuron, diflubenzuron (IGRs), monocrotophos and dichlorvos. Laboratory studies also established better morphogenic effects of flufenoxuron whereas appreciable morphological deformities were not observed with other IGRs.
