Evaluation of the nutritional status of Ponkan tangerine and Murcote tangor upon function of time of fertilizer application macronutrients

This work was carried out in the Fruit Science Department at Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras, MG, Brazil, with the objective of evaluating the effects of different times of fertilizer application on the macronutrient contents in the leaves of the Ponkan and Murcote cultivars. The experiments design used was completely randomized in a 5 times 2 factorial scheme (times times cultivars) with 10 treatments and 3 replications. Macronutrient contents were determined on leaf dry matter. It was verified that nutrient contents were not affected by times of fertilizer application P and S contents were different between the cultivars. The Ponkan and Murcote cultivars presented optimum to high levels of N, P, K, Ca and Mg.
