An identification method for the seven pest species (B. (B.) carambolae Drew and Hancock, B. (B.) caryeae (Kapoor), B. (B.) dorsalis (Hendel), B. (B.) kandeiensis Drew and Hancock, B. (B.) occipitalis (Bezzi), B. (B.) papayae Drew and Hancock and B. (B.) philippinensis Drew and Hancock I in the oriental fruit fly complex is given. This method is based on the Baye's theorem (normalized probability method). A traditional key for the identification or seven pest species is also given.
